Lukas Weiss was born in Ulm. He studied trumpet and music education at the Trossingen University of Music and later pursued wind orchestra conducting at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim, where he completed his master’s degree. During his studies, he was twice awarded at the Mannheim conducting competition “Dirigieren im Fokus.”
As a trumpet teacher, Weiss currently works at the music schools in Günzburg and Nersingen. In addition, he is a founding member and trumpet/flugelhorn player of the ensemble “Blechverrückt”, as well as the conductor of the Krumbach Music Association and, since 2024, of the District Youth Wind Orchestra Ulm/Alb-Donau.
